The final day in Costa Rica has finally come! It's Easter morning, and although we are all excited to come home and see our families and friends, there is still a sadness that we have to leave this beautiful place. This trip has truly been an amazing experience. We got to see so many different cultures, interesting plants and animals, and the scenery is more beautiful than any pictures could ever convey. We are spending the last few hours enjoying the weather before heading back to good ol' South Carolina. See everyone later today!
Pura Vida!

Happy Easter! We are finally coming home and this trip has been better than anything I could've imagined. Besides pictures, we've got some great stories to tell. But really, I'm just gonna have to come back! Pura Vida Amigos!

Hola! Happy Easter! I have had so much fun in Costa Rica. Group 2 has been the best (Tortugas Candados). We are enjoying our last couple of hours by the pool before we head to the airport. I am sad to leave, but can't wait to see my family. Pura Vida!

Hoppy Easter from Group II!! We have finished off this sunny Easter Sunday with a devotion by the pool. It has been such an amazing week and I feel like we just got here. Nonetheless, I can't wait to be home and back at school (not)!!!! See all you loved ones tonight:) Pura Vida from the Fam and I

Happy Easter!! Unfortunately it is our last day here in beautiful Costa Rica. It has been such a fun week, and I am so greatful to have had this experience alongside my friends (both old and new). However, I can't wait to see my family and sleep in my own bed! Happy Easter and Pura Vida!!

Happy Easter from Costa Rica!! We enjoyed a small bible reading this morning sitting around the pool. We have bonded more than I ever imagined as a group. Sad to be leaving, but I'm excited to see everyone:)

Happy Easter! We just had our own little service by the pool and enjoying the sun before we go to the airport in a couple hours. I wish we had a little more time here but I am so grateful for the fun time we have had with my old and new amigos. I can't wait to see everyone at home in a couple hours.
Pura Vida!

Happy Easter everyone! We are just chilling at the super nice hotel right now before the flight. It has been an incredible trip, and I would have to say ziplining was my favorite part. I can't wait to get back and see my family, although I will probably be wanting to go to sleep. Overall, this has been a mind-opening, once in a lifetime experience. Pura Vida!

Well, it's our last day in Costa Rica and I'm pretty sad to leave this group. From falling into the rapids and taking Noah with me to everyone singing together on the bus, we all had a blast! Happy Easter everyone and we will see y'all tonight!

The highlight of my trip is what I originally thought would be my least favorite part, the homestays. I thought that it would be awkward because my family wouldn't be able to speak English. Even though they didn't speak English they did their best to communicate with us. It also helped that my boy Malik is almost fluent in Spanish. The most fun part about the homestays were the two kids, Eileen and Darien. They played cards and video games with us and Malik and I even taught them how to play football. The kids were really great and I already miss them. The rest of the trip was just as good and I'm sad we have to go back to the States so soon.

So yeah. Blogging. Guess that's a thing. Anyway highlights of the trip for me would have to be just being with my group in everything we did. Wether it was snorkeling and playing football in puerto viejo, rafting the Pacuare river, spending time with my boy Jacob (eyyyyhhhh😝😝😝😝) and my host family with Eileen, Teaching Darien how to throw a football , then doing some stealth insertion via rappelling, caves, and ziplining. This is something I'm gonna remember. And all the winning. Pura Vida mane
Well it's the last day of our adventure in Costa Rica. As much as I want to see my family again, it's pretty sad for me because I know there won't be anymore intense UNO games where Noah would say "The color of the day is" and then name a color. There also won't be anymore of me threatening to throw Noah off the bus for yelling "Operation Chocolate Thunder" over and over again. I've gotten to know a lot of people that I've never said a word to before which is awesome. So yeah. That's all. Tortugas Candados for life.

This trip has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was my first time out of the U.S. and it's one I'll never forget. I've gotten to know all the people in my group and we've bonded and become a famiy this week. They taught me how to swim and face my fears with an open mind and positive attitude. I couldn't have asked for a better group and wouldn't trade them for the world. We shared a lot of laughs and I cherished every moment of this trip. Pura Vida por siempre.

Though the activities are fun I enjoyed the off time the most. Playing uno and spades with my group mates was awesome.
