!Hola¡ Greetings from Puerta Uva! The past two days here in Costa Rica have been quite the adventure for group 1. Yesterday, we all woke up extra early for our day of rappelling and 6 hour bus ride to the sunny coast. Many of group 1's members were nervous for rappelling, but just like always, we stuck together and cheered each other on. In total, we rappeled down 4 different cliffs, many times landing in waist deep water. This was an experience many of us can not compare to any other. After changing out of our soaking clothes, we began our 6 hour journey in the hopes of arriving to a relaxing leg of the trip with sun and sand. Once we arrived we enjoyed our first American mean and everyone was ecstatic. We then knew that the beach was a great place to be. We woke up this morning and split into two group (group 1.awesome and group 1.2) and went on a nature hike. We ended with lunch by the beach and kayaking in groups. We were then allowed to have free time as a group which involved many games in the ocean, long walks, and tanning sessions. We are now enjoying pizza by the pool at our hotel and we couldn't be happier. Tomorrow we will embark on a journey of snorkeling and more beach fun. We will keep you updated! PURA VIDA,
Abigail and Matthew
P.S. Mom and dad- I hope you're enjoying cabo and thinking of me in my non air conditioned hotel and no hot water! Love y'all!
