Group 1: wrapping up day 2

Pura Vida from Costa Rica!! After a long day of travelling, and eating, yesterday, I was ready to jump right into activites today! We had another early wake-up and then had a traditional Costa Rican breakfast of rice and beans (found in almost every meal), fruit, eggs, and toast. All I have to say about the food is that I have been a member of the clean plate club for every meal. Then it was time to embark on our first adventure, ziplining. It was a quick hour and a half bus ride to the site where we zipped through seven different courses. The views were astounding! Picture this: we were zipping across the canopy with the volcano on one side and the beautiful lake on another. I never wanted it to end. Then, it was time to head out for lunch at the caving site. After another great meal, it was time for caving. There were a few cuts and scrapes but it was the most amazing experience. I was nervous at the beginning, but I would love to do it again! We went in this small cavern called the "birth canal" where we each went through one at a time. Caving was quite the workout, but we ended the day with a nice relaxing trip to the hot springs. Quite the reward. It was a great first day in Costa Rica!!

Pura Vida!
