Monkeys on the Beach

Today, we snorkeled in the National Park. We saw a giant Lion Fish, an eel, and some sea urchins the size of basketballs! After we snorkeled, we took a short boat ride to a beach and lunch. But, we had some visitors... MONKEYS! Not to sound cliche but it was so cool! The monkeys stared us down until Doak started mocking them. It was hilarious. After a short hike (2 hours), we loaded up in the van, and headed to a cocoa farm. We met an indigenous woman who told us about some traditions. She told us about how woman who were pregnant had to go into the jungle, build themselves a house, and live there by themselves until they had a baby. Before they can come home, they have to have a shaman come cleanse them. I don't think any woman would ever want to do that. Overall, today was unforgettable. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the trip. Pura Vida!
